広島出身、東京在住。
学生時代、プログレッシヴ・ロックに影響を受け作曲活動を開始。
自身の創作活動の他、様々なメディアへの楽曲提供、作家、リミキサー、マスタリングエンジニアとしても活動。
ドイツのonpaよりリリースした1stアルバム "april.#02"が、坂本龍一のRADIO SAKAMOTOにて評価され、ドイツDE:BUG誌においては五つ星獲得、また国内外の様々なメディアで紹介され、TBS
毎日放送 "情熱大陸"、2008年 "専修大学" TVCM、sunaokuwahara "2006
Autumn/Winter Collection"、にて起用される等、多方面で高評価を得る。
その作風は、90年代以降の様々な新しい音楽を経た手法と編集テクニックを駆使しつつも、70年代のプログレッシヴ・ロックや19世紀のロマン派音楽にも通するドラマ性豊かな世界と表される。
- 2004
- kashiwa daisukeとしてソロ活動を開始。
- 2005
- 独レーベルonpa)))))のコンピレーションアルバムにクラムボンらと参加。同年ドイツツアー敢行。
- 2006
- 同レーベルより1stアルバム "april.#02" をリリース。自らのリミックスを収録した12インチ "deepblue"リリース。
- 2007
- olive oil(ROMZ)、Takeshi Nishimoto(I'm Not A Gun)等をリミキサーに迎え、リミックスアルバム"april.#07"をリリース。
同年、MIDI Creative/nobleより2ndアルバム"program music I"リリース。

Kashiwa Daisuke picked up guitar in his early teens.He quickly he formed
a progressive rock band where
he developed his unique songwriting style over the years.

- He started his solo project, and his tracks were aired on RADIO SAKAMOTO to great critical acclaim.
- 2005
- His track was featured on a compilation album released by German avant garde label "onpa",
He then went onto a Germany tour to support the release. - 2006
- His first album "april.#02" was also released from “onpa” the year after. Electronic Music Magazine "DE;BUG" awarded it 5 points.
- 2007
- Collaborating with olive oil (ROMZ), Takeshi Nishimoto and others, he released the remix album "april#07".
He soon follows with the release of his second album "'program music I " from “Noble”.
